Grapevine and La Vina are here to help
Due to the current changing health situation, many AA meetings across the U.S. and Canada are finding it safer to close. To help members during this time, we are giving everyone free access to all of our 2020 Grapevine and La Viña issues. (The audio to Grapevine’s stories will be available as well, so people can listen to the stories if they like.) Please share with your fellows. We have also included a link to our Youtube channel with some original audio stories as well as other important information. To enter, visit: www.aagrapevine.org/we-are-here-to-help (Posted 3.23.20)

A couple of suggestions from groups in District 22
Sunday Night Big Book is passing a “virtual” 7th Tradition basket. We are asking that each member take an envelope, write the name of the group on it and put their contribution in it. Eventually, it will get to the group treasurer for deposit into the bank.
While it is true that we don’t have rent, we reimbursed our moderator for the subscription to the platform as a way being self-supporting.
But more importantly, contributions to the GSO are down drastically now that groups are not sending them. Their overhead has not decreased. They had, prior to the epidemic, 8-9 months operating reserves without income.
We suggest that people and groups can make individual contributions to GSO at:
General Service Office
P.O. Box 459 Grand Central Station
New York, NY 10163
Oregon Area has some operating expenses also, but much better reserves. Their address is:
Oregon Area Treasurer
PMB 172
1972 NE 3rd St.
Bend, OR 97701
The Grapevine’s revenue comes primarily from magazine subscriptions; they cannot take direct money contributions. Consider gifting a sponsee or newcomer a new subscription. Order forms are in every issue.
Thanks,
YILAS!
